DeckAI March 2026 Update — Smarter Models, Better Slides

This is the biggest update since DeckAI launched. We've rebuilt the core generation pipeline, added support for 10+ AI models, introduced real PPTX template control, and redesigned the chat workflow from scratch. Here's everything that changed.

1. Multi-Model AI — Choose Your Engine

DeckAI is no longer locked to a single AI model. You can now choose from a range of frontier models for planning and content generation, each with different strengths:

Switch models mid-conversation using the new Model Selector in the chat interface. Mix and match — use one model for planning and another for slide creation.

2. Real PPTX Template Control

Previously, every slide was a single AI-generated image — beautiful, but impossible to edit. Now, DeckAI separates structure from content:

Choose from McKinsey, BCG, and Bain preset templates, or create your own with the new My Templates editor. Customize cover frames, body layouts, colors, and typography — then reuse them across presentations.

3. Step-by-Step Chat Workflow

The chat interface now guides you through a structured process instead of dumping slides all at once:

At every step, you can go back, edit, and refine. The plan is fully editable — reorder slides, change titles, modify content bullets — before a single image is generated.

4. Slide-Level Control

Once slides are generated, you now have granular control:

• →Regenerate individual slides — don't like slide 3? Regenerate just that one
• →Delete & reorder — drag slides to rearrange, remove what doesn't fit
• →Storyline flow map — visualize the narrative arc of your entire deck
• →Speaker notes — each slide includes a presentation script and reference data

5. My Templates — Save & Reuse Your Designs

The new /templates page lets you create, save, and manage custom presentation templates:

• →Cover Frame Editor — customize title position, subtitle, background image or color
• →Body Frame Editor — adjust header, footer, diagram area, page numbering
• →Instant Preview — see your template rendered in real-time as you adjust settings

Templates are saved to your account and available in the template selector when creating new presentations.

6. Dashboard & Usage Tracking

Click your profile to see your monthly slide usage, current plan, and presentation history. The dashboard now shows:

• • Slides used this month vs. your plan limit
• • All past presentations with quick access to continue editing
• • PPTX download for any completed presentation
